Introducing, Twin Royalty
In 2011 I had an idea to write a book. The idea hit me, and I began writing it down in my notebook at the time. I started off strong, 4 pages in one sitting, and then I got stuck. My mind started wandering to different places, about the characters, about the locations… about creating a world where what was in my head made sense on paper. It was overwhelming! Over the years I've started 5 other stories as well in the same way. I made the decision that this year I was going to complete what I started so long ago.
This is my introduction to invite you to enter my worlds, as I create them. I am grateful that you are here, and I look forward to keeping you updated on the progress! Here, I will give you a sneak peak of what is to come in my novel, Twin Royalty. My email address is at the bottom of the page if you’d like to leave any feedback to me directly.
Twin Royalty
By Layora RéChelle
In a kingdom born of fire and sea, peace has come at a terrible cost.
After leading a war that ended the reign of dark magic, King LaMonte fears the prophecy that doomed the world once before—that power, when born in twos, will destroy itself. In his desperation to protect his people, he decrees that all twins be condemned at birth. But when his beloved Queen Catherine dies giving life to twin heirs, his own law becomes the weapon that shatters his soul.
The newborns are stolen from the palace by Yasminda, a sea-born guardian of the Nioman realm, and raised in secret within the heart of the forest. Under her guidance, the twins, Yasara and Yesir, come of age—one blessed with the gift of sight, the other with the flame of their father’s blood. Yet even the sea cannot hide them forever.
As the king’s grief turns to tyranny and darkness awakens once more, the twins must return to the kingdom that condemned them to fulfill the prophecy their father feared—by facing the monster he has become.
In a tale of love, vengeance, and sacrifice, Twin Royalty asks:
Can mercy save what power has broken, or must the world burn before it learns to heal?
